Derek Gaines is an American WGA award winning and Daytime Emmy nominated writer, actor and stand-up comedian who got his start in Philadelphia and has now dominated his way to every prestigious New York stage and around the country.

Known as the man with “the smile of a thousand angels,” Derek’s first break came when he reached the semi-finals of Bill Bellamy’s "Who’s Got Jokes" in 2010, then made his standup comedy television debut in 2014 when he appeared on AXS TV’s "Gotham Comedy Live" and was selected by the Just For Laughs Festival as part of their "New Faces" showcase. Derek went on to co-host MTV’s "Broke A$$ Game Show" and his career has skyrocketed from there!

Derek had a recurring role as Jaybird in the hit Tracy Morgan’s series "THE LAST O.G.,” and as Bugs on CBS’ “Blue Bloods.” He has been featured in films like “The King of Staten Island Island” written and directed by Judd Apatow and starring Pete Davidson and “The Wrath of Becky'' starring Lulu Wilson. Derek recently won a WGA Award for his writing on “Inside Amy Schumer” and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on the Apple TV+ & Sesame Street’s “Helpsters”. Derek has recently written and starred in “Bupkis” alongside Joe Pesci, Edie Falco and Pete Davidson, which has already been renewed for another season.

Derek is also the co-founder & host of the “No Need For Apologies” podcast alongside Dave Temple, with episodes that drop weekly and can be seen at comedy clubs across NYC and across the country.

Dave Temple is an American comedian, author and podcast host who has appeared on TruTV, BET & VICE, that has club managers across the country asking, “where did you find this guy?!" Originally from Philadelphia, Dave started doing stand-up comedy as a challenge amongst friends and as the saying goes “the rest is history.” Dave brings an unadulterated view on life, people, family and relationships and through his own life experiences, unites any audience member through gut wrenching laughter. A guaranteed “room turner” Dave will dominate any stage he steps on to.

You can listen to Dave weekly on his podcast that he co-host called “No Need for Apologies” and you can also catch his third comedy album, “Facebook, YouTube, Amazon,” anywhere you download albums or at his website,
